Dissemination workshop on August 22nd 2014, before CIGRE
Published March 26, 2014
The iTesla consortium is pleased to invite transmission system operators, researchers and developers to the presentation of the project’s preliminary results.
The iTesla project is developing a new generation of security assessment tools able to support the short-term transmission system operation (from 2 days ahead to real time). These tools have been designed to cope with increasingly uncertain operating conditions while taking advantage of the growing flexibility of the grid.
The workshop will be held on August 22nd 2014 in Paris, right before the CIGRE session. The agenda can be found here.
The morning session will describe in detail:
The risk-based security assessment tools taking into account the different sources of uncertainties (in particular those brought by intermittent generation) within a big data driven approach,
The decision making process providing operators with proposals of preventive and curative actions to keep the system in a secure state.
In the afternoon, two parallel sessions will be organised in order to focus narrowly on certain topics:
For TSOs: an in-depth review of the iTesla Toolbox capabilities will be performed in terms of support to operations;
For researchers and developers: the developments related to data sampling techniques and dynamic modeling of the power system using Modelica will be fully described.
The event will take place in Paris La Defense (Coeur Defense Tower) from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm and will be followed by a reception at the RTE R&D show room.
